We’re enjoying some Old Grand Dad 16 year release tonight at Whiskey Workspace and we’re loving it! This bourbon is aged a minimum of 16 years and is bottled at 100 proof. It has a high rye mashbill, and features a “distinctively classic OGD flavor and body.”
We’re tasting notes of smoothness, great OGD high rye flavors, easy spice and rye earthiness, great oak, brown sugar, a touch of cherry, and a great warm finish.
This is a really special bourbon that we highly recommend checking out if you can find it. It’s a great value for the price, and it’s sure to impress even the most discerning bourbon drinker.

Tonight’s pour on the Whiskey Workspace blog comes from the Old Ezra distillery. This 7 year rye is a great example of the classic Kentucky style, with a spicy and peppery character that’s balanced by notes of sweet caramel and oak.
Overall, I really enjoyed this rye. It’s a great value for the price, and it’s sure to please fans of classic Kentucky rye.
